The Long Tail: Don't quit your day job (hard to make $ with blogging)

Good post by Chris 'LongTail' Anderson, on how tough it is to make real $$ with blogging. I couldn't agree more ;).  But then, as Guy Kawasaki points out, blogging has many other benefits that also lead to some $$ (if that's what you want).

The Long Tail: Don't quit your day job.

Just another reminder that the reason to be a Long Tail producer is not direct revenues. Instead, it's exactly what Guy uses it for: marketing for his books, VC firm, speeches and consulting. For which he's exceedingly well paid. Indirect revenues rule!
