My presentation at the QMIPRI event in London Feb 18 2008: Future of Music & Copyright

Picture_8 QMIPRI Inaugural Conference 2008: Intellectual Property Strategies  18 February 2008 The inaugural annual conference is a celebration of almost 3 decades of collaboration with the professional community, industry and civil society, and the rich panels continue this diversity for which QMIPRI is famous. As our inaugural annual conference, it is also an important new addition to QMIPRI's annual calendar.  "Strategy" encompasses not only the business but also the politics of intellectual property. In devising a day on strategy, QMIPRI is bringing together the diversity of perspectives on the key and critical issues of Use, Innovation and Access. How does use inform and drive commercial intellectual property strategies? What kinds of strategies to stimulate innovation can be found both within and apart from intellectual property frameworks? Where might strategies to facilitate access be found?
